Terms of service
TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 8 September 2026
These Terms of Service apply to your use of tamzeyinteriors.com and to any order placed through our website.
The website is operated by:
Tamzey Interiors
Email: info@tamzeyinteriors.com
VAT : GB527008705
Address:- Office 21155 182-184 Hight Street North East Ham London E6 2JA
Throughout these Terms, “Tamzey Interiors”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating this website. “You” and “your” refer to the customer or website user.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order.
Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or removes your statutory consumer rights.
1. USING OUR WEBSITE
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order through our website.
You must not:
-
Misuse our website.
-
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems.
-
Introduce viruses, malicious software or other harmful material.
-
Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
-
Interfere with the normal operation or security of the website.
We may update, modify, suspend or withdraw parts of the website when reasonably necessary.
Any such changes will not affect orders we have already accepted, except where a change is required by law or agreed with you.
2. PRODUCT INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, materials, colours, prices and availability shown on our website are accurate.
However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, lighting conditions and photography.
Products made from natural materials, including wood, marble, stone, glass and natural fabrics, may contain natural variations in colour, grain, veining, pattern, texture or finish.
These natural characteristics are not normally considered faults unless the product is materially different from its description or does not meet the standards required by law.
Please read the full product description and check all measurements before placing your order.
For furniture in particular, you should make sure that the item will fit within your intended space and can pass through relevant doors, entrances, hallways, staircases and lifts.
Product availability is subject to stock and supplier availability.
3. PRICES AND SALE PRODUCTS
All prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include applicable taxes unless clearly stated otherwise.
Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your order.
Where standard UK mainland delivery is advertised as free for an eligible order, no standard delivery charge will be added for that service.
We may change our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
If we discover an obvious pricing, product-description or technical error before accepting your order, we will contact you.
You may be given the option to proceed with the order using the correct information or price, or to cancel the order and receive a full refund of any amount already paid.
Sale and reduced-price products have the same statutory consumer rights as full-price products.
They also have the same change-of-mind cancellation rights for online purchases unless a specific legal exception applies.
4. PLACING AN ORDER
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
An automatic order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted your order.
A contract between you and Tamzey Interiors is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where, for example:
-
The product is unavailable.
-
Payment cannot be authorised.
-
There is an obvious pricing or product-information error.
-
We cannot deliver to the address supplied.
-
Fraud or unauthorised activity is reasonably suspected.
-
Accepting the order would breach applicable law.
-
A supplier is unexpectedly unable to fulfil the product.
If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, we will issue a full refund.
5. PAYMENT
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
By providing payment details, you confirm that:
-
You are authorised to use the payment method supplied.
-
The billing information you provide is accurate.
-
You authorise payment for the amount displayed at checkout.
Payments may be processed securely by Shopify Payments or another payment provider displayed at checkout.
We do not receive or store your complete payment-card details where these are processed directly by our payment provider.
6. DELIVERY
We deliver only to destinations made available through our website or checkout.
Estimated delivery times may be displayed on the product page, website, checkout or order confirmation.
Some furniture and other products may have longer lead times. Where applicable, this will be stated on the product page or communicated to you.
Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within the period required by applicable UK consumer law.
If we become aware of a significant delay, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Where delivery within an agreed or legally required timeframe is essential and we fail to meet it, or where applicable consumer law otherwise gives you the right to cancel because of delay, you may be entitled to cancel the affected order and receive a refund.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
For furniture and large products, you are also responsible for checking that the item can reasonably fit through:
-
Entrances.
-
Doorways.
-
Corridors.
-
Staircases.
-
Lifts.
-
Other access points required to complete delivery.
If a delivery cannot be completed because:
-
The delivery address supplied by you is incorrect;
-
Nobody is available to receive the delivery after an agreed delivery arrangement; or
-
Access is insufficient for the product despite the dimensions and relevant information being made available before delivery,
we may charge reasonable additional costs incurred in arranging a further delivery or dealing with the failed delivery.
Any such charge is separate from our free eligible change-of-mind return policy and will be explained before a further delivery is arranged.
Goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered into your physical possession or the physical possession of a person you have authorised to receive them.
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment.
7. CANCELLING BEFORE DISPATCH
If you wish to cancel or change an order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible at:
If the order has not been dispatched and has not entered a legally exempt personalised or bespoke production stage, we will cancel it and issue any applicable refund.
If the order has already been dispatched, your cancellation will normally be handled under the change-of-mind cancellation and return provisions below.
Where the return qualifies under our free change-of-mind return policy, Tamzey Interiors will arrange and cover the reasonable return or collection cost.
8. CHANGE-OF-MIND CANCELLATIONS
For most products purchased online, you have a statutory right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
You must tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.
If your order contains several products delivered on different days as part of the same order, the applicable cancellation period may run from the day after the final relevant product is received, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
To cancel or request a return, email:
Please include:
-
Your name.
-
Your order number.
-
The product you wish to return.
-
A clear statement that you wish to cancel or return the product.
-
Your preferred contact details.
You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory cancellation right.
After notifying us, where you are responsible for sending the goods back rather than an agreed collection being arranged, the goods must be returned without undue delay and within the applicable statutory return period.
For products requiring collection, including furniture, fragile products and larger items, we may arrange an agreed collection instead.
These cancellation rights apply to both full-price and sale products, subject to the legal exclusions described below.
9. PRODUCTS THAT CANNOT BE CANCELLED
The statutory right to cancel a change-of-mind online purchase may not apply to certain products, including:
-
Products genuinely made to your individual specifications.
-
Clearly personalised or customised products.
-
Sealed products that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
-
Perishable products.
-
Products that have become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.
-
Other goods or services excluded from statutory cancellation rights by applicable law.
A standard product is not automatically considered personalised or bespoke merely because it was ordered from, or manufactured by, a supplier after you placed your order.
Where a product is subject to a cancellation-right exclusion, we will aim to make this clear before purchase.
These exclusions apply to change-of-mind cancellation rights only.
They do not remove your statutory rights if a product is faulty, damaged, misdescribed, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
10. RETURN CONDITION AND COSTS
You may inspect a product in the same way that you would reasonably be permitted to inspect it in a physical shop.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession.
We may make an appropriate deduction from your refund if the value of the product has been reduced because it has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Original packaging is helpful, particularly for furniture, fragile products and larger items, because it can help protect the product during transport.
However, the absence of original packaging does not automatically remove your statutory right to cancel or return an eligible product.
FREE CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS
For eligible change-of-mind returns made within the applicable timeframes, Tamzey Interiors will arrange and cover the reasonable cost of returning or collecting the product.
To qualify under this free-return policy:
-
You must notify us of your decision to cancel or return the eligible product within the applicable 14-day cancellation period; and
-
Where you are required to send the product back rather than an agreed collection being arranged, it must be returned within the applicable statutory timeframe.
For furniture, fragile products and larger items, Tamzey Interiors may arrange collection through an appropriate courier or delivery partner.
You will not be charged a standard return collection fee for an eligible change-of-mind return covered by this policy.
Please contact us before arranging a return so that we can provide or arrange the appropriate free return method.
If you independently arrange and pay for an alternative courier, carrier or return service without our prior agreement, we may not reimburse that independently incurred cost.
Tamzey Interiors does not charge cancellation, restocking or repackaging fees for eligible consumer returns.
Products returned because they are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrect will also be returned or collected at no reasonable return cost to the customer.
Further information is available in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. REFUNDS
When you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel an eligible order, we will refund amounts due to you in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
This will normally include:
-
The price paid for the returned product; and
-
Any standard outbound delivery charge paid, where the law requires it to be refunded.
If you selected a premium, express or other delivery service that cost more than our least expensive standard delivery option, we are normally required to refund only the cost of the least expensive standard delivery service offered for the order.
WHERE YOU RETURN THE GOODS
Where you are responsible for returning goods to us, we may withhold reimbursement until:
-
We have received the goods back; or
-
You provide acceptable evidence that the goods have been returned,
whichever occurs first.
The refund will be processed without undue delay and within the applicable statutory timeframe.
WHERE TAMZEY INTERIORS HAS OFFERED TO COLLECT THE GOODS
Where Tamzey Interiors has offered to collect the goods, we will not rely on receipt of the returned goods as a condition for delaying a statutory cancellation refund where the law does not permit us to do so.
In those circumstances, reimbursement following a valid statutory cancellation will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you inform us of your decision to cancel, as required by applicable consumer law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.
We will not charge you a fee for processing an eligible refund.
We may make an appropriate deduction where permitted by law if the value of the product has been reduced because of handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
After we issue a refund, your bank, card issuer or payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.
Please also read our Refund and Returns Policy, which contains additional information about returns and refunds and forms part of these Terms.
12. FAULTY, DAMAGED, MISDESCRIBED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
Products supplied by Tamzey Interiors must meet the standards required by applicable UK consumer law.
This includes requirements that goods are:
-
Of satisfactory quality.
-
Fit for their intended purpose where applicable.
-
As described.
If a product is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or not the product you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible at:
Where reasonably possible, we ask customers to report visible delivery damage within 24 hours.
This helps us investigate the issue with the courier and arrange an appropriate resolution quickly.
The 24-hour reporting request is not a deadline and does not limit, reduce or remove your statutory rights.
If damage or a fault is discovered after 24 hours, please still contact us.
We may reasonably ask you to provide:
-
Your order number.
-
A description of the issue.
-
Photographs of the product.
-
Photographs showing the damage or fault.
-
Photographs of the packaging.
-
Photographs of the delivery label where relevant.
A failure to provide photographs will not automatically remove your statutory consumer rights.
Consumers may have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days, subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the circumstances of the particular product.
After the applicable short-term right to reject has expired, you may have the right to request a repair or replacement.
Where a repair or replacement is impossible, unsuccessful or otherwise gives rise to a further statutory remedy, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable law.
Where required by law, we will provide an appropriate:
-
Repair.
-
Replacement.
-
Price reduction.
-
Refund.
-
Other statutory remedy.
Tamzey Interiors will cover the reasonable cost of returning or collecting a product that is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrect.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
13. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNT CODES
Promotional codes must be used according to any conditions supplied with the promotion.
Unless stated otherwise:
-
Only one promotional code may be used per order.
-
Promotional codes cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
-
Promotional codes cannot normally be applied retrospectively to completed orders.
-
Promotional codes may have an expiry date.
-
Certain products may be excluded from a promotion where clearly stated.
Promotions and discount codes do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The website and its content, including text, photographs, graphics, branding, logos, layouts and designs, belong to Tamzey Interiors or are used with the permission of the relevant rights holder.
You may access and use our website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.

17. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Products sold through our consumer website are primarily supplied for private and domestic use.
Where a product is purchased primarily for business or commercial purposes, different rights may apply.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including responsibility for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Breach of statutory consumer rights.
-
Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
18. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control where the law allows us to rely on such circumstances.
These events may include, for example:
-
Severe weather.
-
Transport disruption.
-
Supplier disruption.
-
Industrial action.
-
Natural disasters.
-
Government restrictions.
-
Major telecommunications or technology failures.
-
Other events that we could not reasonably prevent.
If an event outside our reasonable control affects your order, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
If there is a substantial delay, you may have the right to cancel the affected order and receive a refund for products you have paid for but have not received.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
19. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about an order, product or our service, please contact us at:
Please provide, where possible:
-
Your name.
-
Your order number.
-
Details of the issue.
-
What you would like us to do to resolve it.
We will investigate complaints fairly and aim to resolve them as quickly as reasonably possible.
If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly, we will provide any information about an appropriate accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider that we are required to provide under applicable law and will explain whether we are required or willing to participate in the relevant ADR procedure.
You may also obtain independent consumer advice from the Citizens Advice Consumer Service.
Nothing in this complaints procedure prevents you from exercising your statutory rights or bringing a claim through an appropriate court.

-
Our business.
-
Our website.
-
Our products or services.
-

The Terms that apply to a purchase will normally be those in force when your order is placed.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that you already have under an accepted order or applicable law.
The date at the top of these Terms shows when they were most recently updated.
21. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
22. THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS
These Terms are between you and Tamzey Interiors.
Except where applicable law provides otherwise, no other person has the right to enforce these Terms.
